After a near 6 year hiatus, Trust Company will return in 2011 with a brand new album titled Dreaming In Black And White. The album is according to drummer Jason Singleton, the band’s best album yet.

“I personally think this is the best record we’ve ever done,” Singleton tells Alternative Addiction. “It’s almost like a first record again, having all that time off between our second record and this one has a lot to do with why the material is so good. We were able to take our time and choose the best of the best.”

The extra time is especially appreciated by the band, who rushed to release their last album, True Parallels, after being given a deadline to record the album in under a month.

“There is just a huge difference in the lack of pressure or someone breathing over your shoulder,” explains Singleton. “The goal is never to write a hit single, we just kind of write what we do. Some of its going to be good single material, some of its good live material, and some of it is just good album tracks.”

As for the sound of the new album, Singleton says that fans can expect a more modern spin on Trust Company’s sound.

“Musically this album is a lot more current with our musical influences of today,” said Singleton. “I think it’s impossible to not grow over time and become more current, and I think that shows on this record both musically and vocally. We haven’t strayed from our sound, it’s still Trust Company, it’s just a very modern sounding record.”

Dreaming In Black And White is due in Stores February 8th on Koch Records.
