It starts at a young age. It's made to look cool and bad ass. It's made easily accessible for everyone.
If you aren't doing it, you are alone because everyone else is. It's seen as a form of rebellion and looked up to by youth.

Addictive substances are used to influence the path of a person's life. Wasted indeed…

In the past, it's always been the most oppressed class who are the ones to rise and overthrow their ruling class.
But alcohol plays a major role in maintaining this hierarchy. And as we consume, we perpetuate our self-destruction.

Pacify, sedate, incapacitate.

Capitalism has us where it needs us for it to survive.
(It's no accident) every class has marketed to them, a tool to pacify.
We are provided with what keeps us calm and content. Self-destructive addictions is their ultimate intent.

Drop the beer and pick a brick. It's the ones we fight who supply that shit.
Our apathy means they have won, so drop the drugs and pick up a gun.

When one chooses not to drink, it's as though they are ejecting
themselves from the customs of their friends and for nothing.
But a group of such people, if not tranquilized by self destruction,
would be on the front lines to destroy oppression.

I know you can do it and it's never too late to quit because your mind is strong and you control it.
Do it for yourself and for those who look up to you. Lead by example and inspire change. It's what we must do.

Taking the handle, you pull the trigger as you suck down the tar filled bullets of smoke.

It's no accident that the poorest of people live in areas surrounded by bars and drug stores.
Those who would rise are kept down by the poison they're fed. And even if you have control of your habits...

…your participation alone makes it cool in the eyes of your younger peers, so it's legitimized.
They see you smoke, so they buy cigarettes. And when they know you drink, the drunkenness spreads.

Addictive substances are used to influence the path of a person's life. Wasted indeed.

The ones getting wasted should be the pigs!

Our self destruction is the oppressor's ultimate goal.
